How to choose the right fiberglass sunscreen according to the size of the balcony
To choose the appropriate fiberglass sunscreen cloth according to the size of the balcony, you can refer to the following methods:
Measure the length and width of the balcony: Use a tape measure to accurately measure the length and width of the balcony. If the balcony is a regular rectangle or square, the measurement is relatively simple; if the balcony is irregular in shape, such as with an arc or concave and convex parts, you need to measure the size of each part separately and record the maximum length and width values in order to determine the minimum size requirement of the sunshade.
Consider the installation method: Different installation methods will affect the size of the sunscreen. If it is fixed to the top edge of the balcony, the length of the sunscreen should be slightly longer than the length of the balcony, and the width should be considered to fully cover the opening of the balcony. It is usually 10-20 cm more than the width of the balcony to ensure that it can effectively block the sun and have a certain margin for fixing. If a retractable installation method is used, such as using a telescopic rod or track pulley, the size of the sunscreen can be more flexible, but it must also be ensured that it can cover the main lighting area of the balcony when fully unfolded.
Reserve margin: In order to ensure the sun protection effect and the firmness of the installation, it is recommended to reserve some margin based on the measured size. Reserve about 5-10 cm in length and width, so that the sunscreen cloth can be better adjusted and fixed during installation to avoid the sunscreen cloth being unable to fully cover the balcony or being installed loosely due to being too small.
Consider the overlap: If the balcony is large and multiple sunscreen sheets need to be spliced together, the size of the overlap should be considered. Generally, the overlap is about 10-15 cm to ensure that there is no gap at the splicing and effectively block the sunlight.
