How to maintain Translucent Zebra Blind Fabrics
Jan 14, 2026
1. Routine dust cleaning and maintenance
The key to daily maintenance is to promptly remove dust from the fabric surface to prevent long-term dust accumulation from affecting its appearance and usability. Use a dry, soft cloth or feather duster to gently wipe along the fabric's grain. This effectively removes fine dust without damaging the fabric fibers. If there is a significant amount of dust on the fabric surface, you can also use a vacuum cleaner with a soft-bristled brush attachment to clean gently. Avoid using high suction power to prevent stretching and deformation of the fabric. Regular, light cleaning will keep the fabric clean.
2. Stain Treatment and Maintenance
When fabric is accidentally stained, choose the appropriate treatment method based on the type of stain to avoid damage caused by blind cleaning. For minor water-soluble stains, use a clean, soft cloth dampened with a small amount of water to gently press onto the stain, absorbing the stain. Then, wipe dry with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid rubbing vigorously to prevent the stain from spreading or leaving watermarks on the fabric. For stubborn stains, add a small amount of neutral detergent to water, stir well, and then use a soft cloth dampened with the diluted solution to gently treat the stain. Afterward, be sure to wipe off any remaining detergent with clean water and dry the fabric thoroughly to prevent long-term chemical residue from damaging the fabric's properties.
3. Protection and maintenance during use
Proper operation during daily use can reduce fabric wear and extend its lifespan. When adjusting the fabric, rotate the control parts slowly, avoiding pulling or rapid adjustments to prevent problems such as stripe misalignment and fiber breakage due to excessive stress. Also, avoid prolonged exposure of the fabric to damp environments. If it rains or the indoor humidity is high, close windows promptly to prevent the fabric from becoming damp and moldy. Furthermore, avoid direct contact between the fabric and sharp objects to prevent scratches that could affect its usability and appearance.
4. Long-term storage and maintenance
If you need to store this fabric for a long time, you must first thoroughly clean it to ensure that the surface is free of dust and stains. Then, dry the fabric to prevent it from becoming damp and developing mold. When storing, fold the fabric neatly and place it in a dry, well-ventilated storage bag. Avoid storing it with items that are prone to fading to prevent the fabric from being dyed. At the same time, the storage environment should be away from direct sunlight to prevent the fabric from fading and aging due to prolonged exposure, so that the fabric can still be in good condition for the next use.
